What an SMS QR code does
Scanning opens the messaging app with your number and a pre-written text, so the customer just taps Send. Businesses use it for keyword opt-ins ("Text JOIN"), contest entries, appointment requests and quick support.
Unlike WhatsApp, SMS works on every phone without an app or internet data — but standard text charges may apply for the sender.
Number format
For local campaigns, the local format works. If people may scan from abroad, use the international format with the country code (+44 7700 900123).
