What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the photo format iPhones use by default. It saves space, but many Windows apps, websites and printers don’t open it — so you convert to JPG.
Will converting reduce the quality?
JPG is lossy, so there’s a small quality loss, but at 90% or above it’s hard to see. Lower the quality for smaller files.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The conversion happens in your browser, so private photos never leave your device.
Why does the first conversion take longer?
The HEIC decoder (about 3 MB) is downloaded the first time you convert. After that, further conversions start right away.
