How is reading time calculated?
It divides your word count by an average adult reading speed of 200 words per minute, rounded up to the nearest minute.
How are sentences counted?
Sentences are detected by periods, question marks and exclamation marks. Like most word counters, this is an approximation — it may not perfectly handle abbreviations such as "Mr."
