Is this background remover free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, watermark or limit on the number of images, and the full-resolution result is free to download.
Why is the first image slow?
The first time, your browser downloads the AI model (about 86 MB). It is then stored in your browser’s cache, so later images — even on another day — start in a few seconds.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The model runs on your own device in the browser, so the photo is never sent to a server. That also means it works for private or confidential images.
How do I get a white background for a product or ID photo?
After the background is removed, choose “White” and download as JPG. For passport or ID photos, check the required size and crop the result with the Crop Image tool.
Why are some edges not perfect?
Fine hair, fur, glass and objects that blend into the background are the hardest cases. Photos with good lighting and a clear contrast between the subject and the background give the cleanest edges.
Does it work on phones?
Yes, on recent phones. Processing takes longer than on a computer, and very old phones may run out of memory with large photos.
