A folder full of separate photos — scanned receipts, signed pages, a multi-page document shot with a phone camera — is much harder to send and print correctly than a single combined PDF.
Why convert images to PDF
A PDF keeps every page together in a fixed order, prints reliably across different devices and printers, and is the expected format for most document submissions (applications, contracts, reports) rather than a batch of loose image files.
What to check before converting
- Page order — arrange your images in the order you want them to appear before converting; reordering afterward means starting over.
- Orientation — a sideways photo will stay sideways in the PDF unless rotated first.
- Image quality — a blurry or low-resolution photo will look the same in the PDF; converting to PDF doesn't improve the underlying image quality.
How to convert images to a PDF
- Open Image to PDF and upload your JPEG, PNG or WebP images.
- Arrange them in the order you want them to appear.
- Convert — each image becomes its own page in the resulting PDF.
- Download the combined PDF.
A tip for scanned documents
If you're photographing physical pages with a phone camera rather than using a dedicated scanner, take the photos in good, even lighting and hold the camera as straight-on as possible — this makes a real difference in how readable the final PDF looks, especially for text-heavy pages.
FAQ
Can I mix different image formats in one PDF? Yes — JPEG, PNG and WebP images can all be combined into the same PDF, each becoming its own page.
Does this compress my images? The tool converts images into PDF pages as-is; if you need a smaller file, compress your images first with our Image Compressor.
Can I add more pages to the PDF later? Not directly — you'd create a new combined PDF with the full set of images, or use PDF Merge to combine your new PDF with the earlier one.
